Vampyr is an action RPG created by Dontnod and published by Focus Home. In the year 1918, the physician and blood specialist Jonathan E. Reid returns home to London from his duty in France during the First World War. On the streets, he is attacked and returns from the dead as a Vampire. In London, he suddenly has to face two new wars - one against the Spanish Flu which is taking a deadly hold of the city and his own personal war against his own blood lust.
In the developer stream, it was mentioned, that players also can play through the game without killing any citizens. This again has consequences for the ability development of the main character Reid. To feed and survive, it's possible to drink only the blood of rats, this was also shown in the hour long stream. The game also will get significantly harder this way. Jonathan will gain XP faster when drinking from humans, but this comes at a price.
On 20. January 2015, Dontnod and Focus Home presented a poster in one of their tweets, sharing a first look at their new game in development Vampyr - the Role Playing Game. Paris based studio Dontnod is also known for the games "Remember Me" and "Life is Strange", which was released on January 30th, 2015.[1]

The Soundtrack of "Vampyr" was composed by Olivier Deriviere and published by Ameo Publishing.
- Black screen records offers, next to the CD, several Vinyl editions some of which are meanwhile sold out. With art by Florent Auguy (Dontnod concept artist) and layout by Dane Baudoin. Buyers of the vinyl version receive a download code and three bonus tracks.[2]
